Pro Ask Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-03

Pro Ask lets you ask questions to AI simulations of public figures, built from public sources. We only process the data needed to provide this service. We do not use advertising tracking and we never sell data.

Conversation history

Your conversation history is stored in the app's data on your device. Pro Ask's server does not keep it. If you use iCloud or computer backups, it is included in those device backups.

Where your questions are processed

Your question, and the recent conversation when you continue a chat, is sent through Pro Ask's server (Cloudflare) to Anthropic's Claude model to generate the answer. Panel summaries work the same way. Pro Ask's server does not store conversation content; Anthropic processes it under its API data policy. When "Search the web" is on, Claude searches the web based on your question.

Panels and debates

Panel and debate results are kept only until you close the app and are not saved to your history.

Read-aloud voices

When you use read-aloud, the answer text is sent to Fish Audio to generate speech, and the audio is cached on Pro Ask's server for up to 30 days for replay. English voices are official Fish Audio voices; Chinese voices are new voices designed from text descriptions. None of them is the real person's voice or a clone of anyone's voice.

Hold to talk

Voice input is recognized on your iPhone when the device supports it; otherwise Apple's speech recognition service processes it.

Device code and usage limits

To prevent abuse, each request includes a randomly generated device code that contains no name or contact information. The server uses it to count hourly and daily usage (such as the free plan's daily question), and these counts are deleted automatically within two days. The server also records when this code first asked a question, to apply the first-day free questions, and keeps that for up to about 13 months. Cloudflare processes connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver requests and protect against attacks.

Subscriptions and payment

Subscriptions are handled by Apple's App Store. Pro Ask never receives your name, Apple Account or payment details. To confirm your plan, the app sends the Apple-signed transaction information (the subscription, purchase and expiry dates, and transaction IDs) with its requests to Pro Ask's server, which uses it only to check whether you can use the Unlimited plan. We also use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions: the same transaction information and a random anonymous ID created by the app are sent to RevenueCat to confirm your subscription status and count subscriptions. They contain no name or contact details, and no advertising identifiers are collected. To cancel or manage a subscription, go to Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle data changes, we will update this page and the date above.
